Suhani has been training in the Thanjavur tradition of Bharatanatyam under eminent exponent and scholar, Guru Dr. Sandhya V. Purecha
She has completed her Master of Arts in Dance - Bharatanatyam from Bharata College of Fine Arts & Culture, Mumbai with a gold medal and has simultaneously pursued law.
She performed her Arangetram in the year 2012 and is a recipient of the national scholarship to young dancers in the field of Bharatanatyam awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. She is also a graded artiste at the Doordarshan Kendra, Mumbai.
Suhani has had the good fortune of participating in several group performances with her Guru in her myriad productions for leading festivals and platforms nationally and internationally. Under the aegis of her Guru, she has to her credit numbers performances as a soloist in India, as well as in New York and London.
She has received the Nalanda Nritya Nipuna 2018, Girnar Nritya Ratna Award, Titles like Nritya Shiromani, Nritya Vilasini and Nataraj Gopi Krishna Award to name a few.
